Cisco is a member of Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council.

Julie Lane is head of social impact operations for Cisco. She leads the organization in translating the company’s purpose to Power an Inclusive Future for All into actionable plans and programs, including managing a $60 million enterprise-wide budget.

Julie has been instrumental in the creation of some of Cisco’s most successful structures and initiatives for driving social impact, including the Social Action Office and Cisco's 1 Billion Lives initiative.  She’s now an integral part of the development of Cisco 40 Communities initiative, which is designed to bring the full force of Cisco's capabilities to build connected, resilient, communities that thrive. These developments are the umbrella for the company’s unique pairing to advance the world through culture, crisis, and society. In 2020, she helped launch the company’s Community Enablement Beliefs and Actions, a set of six belief statements that were brought to life through 12 priorities designed to help deliver Cisco’s purpose of Powering an Inclusive Future for All.

Julie brings to her work deep experience leading global teams in operations, quality, and customer satisfaction. As a motivational leader, she has been transforming organizations, processes, programs, and business operations for more than 20 years. She excels in delivering results for all stakeholders by balancing the rigor and discipline required for successful core business operations with the passion to set big goals, explore innovative approaches, and accelerate impact.
