Paulette Bleam

Paulette Bleam, MBA, is an award-winning communications and brand strategist with more than 15 years of experience, with a foundation in broadcast news and sports journalism at organizations like ABC7, ABC Sports, and ESPN.
Previously, she was on the founding team of a social media marketing startup, where she created successful social strategies for Fortune 500 companies including Microsoft. Her work won the Omidyar Award for “Startup Most Likely to Change the World” and was featured in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, and Harvard Business Review.
Following that, she provided executive communications and social strategies for a variety of startups, nonprofits, and global enterprises including Dell.
Today, she is the Director of Social Media at American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA), where she leads the organization’s social strategy. In 2024, she and her team launched AAPA’s first Social Media Ambassador Program, which has elevated awareness of the PA profession nationwide, boosted membership, and driven event sales. The program recently received two national awards at the Ragan Communications & PR Daily Social Media & Digital Awards, and two honorable mentions at the Nonprofit Communications Awards.
Passionate about building community and connecting the right people at the right time, Paulette approaches her work through a people- and story-driven lens. A former professional figure skater and salsa dancer, and world traveler who has lived in three countries and visited more than 40 others — she brings a unique perspective to her work.
