Russell Evans
Head of Communications - M&T Commercial Banking
As the Head of Communications for M&T Commercial Banking, Russell Evans brings more than 20 years of corporate communications leadership experience to developing and executing initiatives that address business challenges and advance the Commercial Bank's strategy.
Previously, Russell held communications leadership roles at PwC, CAAT Pension Plan and Foresters Financial. He also developed and hosted the Contributors podcast, which achieved more than 100,000 downloads, reached Apple Canada’s Top 10 Business Podcasts chart and ranked in the top 1 percent of podcasts worldwide.
Outside of his role at M&T, Russell serves as a coach in the Cornell Executive MBA Metro New York Program, where he supports the development of future corporate leaders. His business expertise is grounded in an MBA from Cornell University and certifications as a Strategic Communication Management Professional (SCMP) and a Chartered Marketer.
Russell also serves on the board of the Renascent Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing addiction support counselling, a cause that continues a family tradition of service.
In his free time, he follows developments at Disney Parks around the world and is always happy to share tips for an upcoming trip to Orlando.
