Sarah J. Bland is an experienced public servant with over 20 years in the public sector, specializing in communication strategy, performance auditing and digital storytelling. As an Interim Audit Manager for the City of Seattle’s Office of City Auditor, Sarah has been instrumental in advancing AI policy development and operationalization, including ethical governance and transparency recommendations covering surveillance technologies. Her work reflects a deep commitment to upholding democracy and the public engagement process through data-driven insights that promote systemic change. A creative leader, Sarah leverages her expertise in graphic design, audio/video production, and web development to craft compelling narratives that drive public engagement and accountability.
