Stephanie Guzman-Barrera

Stephanie Guzman-Barrera (she/her) is a journalist turned government communicator who uses her passion for storytelling to further progressive policies, environmental stewardship, and racial and social justice. Stephanie is the Deputy Public Affairs Manager for King County’s Department of Natural Resources and Parks, among the largest natural resource agencies in Washington state. She held roles in King County’s Office of Equity, Racial, and Social Justice, and served as Deputy Director of Communications for the Seattle City Council. Stephanie previously worked as a journalist covering business, economic development, and politics in California, Texas,and New Mexico.
