Spot the writing errors in this Federal Trade Commission email

A screenshot of a message from the FTC’s Office of Public Affairs rife with linguistic blunders has prompted pleas for the agency to hire a copy editor.

Chances are good that a filing with the Federal Trade Commission that was full of mistakes wouldn’t get very far with its investigators.

Or would it? If this screenshot of an automated email from the FTC’s Office of Public Affairs, which media blogger Jim Romenesko posted to his website Wednesday evening, is any indication, perhaps the agency isn’t as detail-oriented as people have been led to believe:

Romenesko wrote that the anonymous reader who sent in the screenshot said the cavalier approach the email takes to grammar “kind of makes me nervous.”
