Week 1: AI Policies, Platforms & Prompts: Foundations First
May 7, 1-3 p.m. ET

AI is evolving too quickly for communicators to rely on beginner-level skills. Lackluster prompts lead to generic outputs that miss your brand’s voice and nuanced audience needs. In this session, you’ll discover practical tactics to take your AI usage to the next level. We’ll explore the newest GenAI policies, platforms, advanced prompting techniques and persona-driven approaches—so you can create more effective, tailored content while staying ahead of the AI curve. What you’ll learn:

  • Responsible AI: How to first set guardrails addressing bias, building transparent “human in the loop” processes and developing usage policies to keep AI efforts ethical and on-brand.
  • Tool Stack Updates: A rundown of the latest generative AI tools (new ChatGPT’s modules, CoPIlot updates, Claude features, DeepSeek plug-ins, among others) and how to integrate them seamlessly into your existing workflows.
  • Training AI on Your Assets: Step-by-step methods to feed brand guidelines, style guides and user personas into AI for more consistent results.
  • Power Prompting in Practice: How to craft persona-based prompts that produce distinctive, on-brand outputs—no more bland boilerplate text.
  • Beyond “Chat”: Leveraging specialized AI features—such as code interpreters and knowledge graph queries—to refine and optimize content creation.

Light Homework: Choose one asset (e.g., a brand guide). Draft three persona-based prompts that reflect your organization’s brand voice. Test them in at least one GenAI tool of your choice, then note how each prompt impacts tone and clarity in the output/asset. Bonus: Try an advanced feature (e.g., upload and summarize a document).

Week 2: Multimedia & Beyond: AI Copy, Creativity & Culture
May 14, 1-3 p.m. ET

Today’s audiences demand vivid visuals and video—but tool overload and culture caps can tank your GenAI dreams. In this session, we’ll dig deep into refining prompts for on-brand content strategy—including copy, images and clips. Then our brand guest will reveal how ChatGPT Enterprise, home-grown, gated AI and an 80% open rate AI newsletter turned skeptics into super users—proving that solid guardrails plus human creativity beat chatbot chaos every time. What you’ll learn:

  • Content Strategy & AI Copy: Techniques for transforming bland drafts into polished, on-brand copy—plus editing hacks that preserve quality and credibility.
  • Image Creation & Enhancement: How to generate scroll-stopping visuals using Midjourney, DALL·E, AdobeAI or other platforms while ensuring brand consistency.
  • Video Production Simplified: Best practices for AI-driven storyboarding, script generation and editing with tools like InVideo, Synthesia, Sora or even AdobeAI.
  • Culture-Shift Strategies: Real world use cases to emulate—from newsletters and prompt libraries to training tactics that tame fear move AI newbies to power users.
  • Custom GPTs: Examples and tips for building custom GPTs, including executive persona GPTs that echo leadership voice for posts, memos and analysis—keeping humans in the loop for thought leadership.

Light Homework: Use any AI video platform (e.g., InVideo, Synthesia) to create a 30-second clip that reflects your organization’s messaging. Post it privately or share with a colleague for feedback on branding, tone and clarity.
