AI Strategy Certificate Course

How Communicators Drive Adoption, Trust and Results

Nov. 4, 10 and 17 | 1-3 p.m. ET
Three consecutive modules

AI adoption is charging ahead despite employee pushback, uneven AI skills and unclear results.

Activity alone doesn’t equal impact. Leaders need to know where AI is advancing business objectives, improving productivity and employee experience, reducing risk and strengthening trust externally.

It’s a steep climb. The good news? Communicators are uniquely positioned to help connect the dots.

Maybe you’re part of the internal comms or HR team responsible for driving company AI L&D adoption and employee engagement. Perhaps you or one of your leaders serve on an AI governance committee. Or, you are tasked with harnessing AI to grow your brand’s authority and reputation. Wherever you sit, this course helps you connect AI use cases to business goals, measure what matters and communicate what’s working, what isn’t and what should happen next. Join to help turn AI adoption into measurable business value, positioning comms as a strategic enterprise partner.

Stop being an order taker. Join to build a practical approach to AI adoption, measurement and communication. You’ll work through challenges your company is facing and learn from real-world examples. And, you’ll receive a certificate of completion that you can showcase on LinkedIn.

AI Strategy That Measures Up: Linking Readiness, Use Cases and Business Goals

AI efforts often start with tools instead of business needs, leaving adoption uneven and results unclear. This module shows you how to assess readiness, prioritize worthwhile use cases and establish the baselines needed to measure progress. You’ll learn:

  • Adoption-Readiness Diagnostic: How to map current AI use, employee confidence, skills gaps, workflow pain points and organizational barriers.
  • Use-Case Priorities: How to select comms and enterprise workflows tied to business objectives, employee needs and reputation.
  • Baseline and KPIs: How to document current time, quality, cost, risk and engagement before AI changes the work.
  • Pilot Planning: How to launch one focused AI workflow with clear owners, safeguards, measures and human review.

An Exercise: Choose one recurring workflow and note its current time, quality and pain points, plus one business or employee result AI might improve.

Pinpoint AI’s Impact: Tracking Adoption, Trust, Risk and Business Results

Usage numbers don’t reveal whether AI is actually helping. This module gives comms practical methods for measuring adoption, workflow gains, employee trust, customer loyalty and business impact, then turning the evidence into an executive-ready scorecard. You’ll learn:

  • Adoption and Change: How to track awareness, training, confidence, resistance, repeat use and reinforcement across employee groups.
  • Workflow Results: Methods for quantifying time saved, fewer revisions, quality gains and capacity redirected to strategic work.
  • Trust, Ethics and Risk: How to monitor employee concerns, customer feedback, disclosure, bias, legal impacts, governance gaps, and consider reputation exposure.
  • Leadership Dashboard: Steps to combine people, workflow, business and reputation data into one clear executive scorecard.

An Exercise: Select three measures for your workflow: one adoption signal, one outcome and one trust or risk indicator.

Week 3

Enterprise AI in Action: Real Brands Share Their Hard-Won Lessons

AI implementation rarely follows the plan and neither does proving its value. In this final module, brand-side communicators share what they built, measured and learned from real enterprise initiatives. See how AI helps demonstrate comms’ business contribution and protect reputation—from AI-powered reporting to LLM perception to big-screen brand storytelling. You’ll hear:

  • The Starting Point: Why each org chose its AI use case, what business problem it aimed to solve and how it defined success.
  • Inside Hershey’s Big Strategy: How an AI reporting agent ties comms to reputation, SOV, media and sentiment while Hershey tracks LLM vs human perception across 90 brands—and brings Milton Hershey’s story to the big screen.
  • Rollout and Results: What changed along the way, how employees and customers responded, what improved and where the evidence remained incomplete or inconclusive.
  • Measurement Lessons: What communicators learned about choosing meaningful metrics, building useful dashboards and proving value—plus what they’d repeat, avoid or handle differently next time.

Final Takeaways: Leave with practical ideas, cautionary lessons and a short list of questions to apply to your own AI efforts.
