Study: Facebook provides 38 percent of shared content

If you’re looking for clicks, Facebook by far outpaces email and Twitter, a new study shows.

That seems to be the lesson learned from a study that notes that Facebook accounts for 38 percent of all sharing referral traffic, according to TechCrunch. Email and Twitter tied for second with 17 percent each.

ShareThis reached this conclusion in a study conducted with StarCom MediaVest Group and Rubicom Partners (hat tip to Dave Peck for pointing it out).

“When it comes to sharing on the Web, Facebook rules,” TechCrunch reports.
