Survey: Employees’ outrageous excuses for calling in sick
Managers have heard everything from ‘A swarm of bees is surrounding my car’ to ‘My false teeth flew out the window while I was driving.’
No?
Well, according to a survey from CareerBuilder, this is an excuse an employee gave her manager to explain why she couldn’t make it in to work one day.
CareerBuilder’s survey found that, in the past year, 32 percent of workers have called in sick when they were actually well—up 2 percent from last year.
