Grammatical errors, apostrophe bans, misused punctuation marks, and a plea to use only one space after a period drew the most eyeballs this year.

When I logged on to Google analytics to check out’s most popular story of the year, I wasn’t surprised to see it was about grammar. Articles on editing, language, punctuation and grammar always seem to captivate our audience.

It reassures the editor in me that, despite the rise of texting and tweeting, our readers still care about proper usage. Here are the stories that, in many cases, got their blood boiling:
