The Tourcast section also had a potentially cool virtual tour. When we tried it, we got an error message. After poking around a bit we found that on a Mac, we couldn’t use Firefox. Never limit your users or make them switch applications to use any section of your site. Either make it work at an acceptable level across any platform and browser or don’t feature it on your site. When we did get into the virtual tour, we found a simple but cool rendering of the campus and a little dog to navigate. Navigation in the tour was clunky and a little half-baked, however. With a little more work on the application, though, this section has the potential to be a great addition to the site.
