Communicators suggest ways to tune out background noise

As a corporate writer, I don’t get the swanky corner office, but a cubicle in the middle of environmental and engineering employees. You know, because we’re so alike.

Today, on top of the talking, people popping in to get their copies (did I mention the hall’s copy machine is in here, too?), my cube mate’s conference calls (on speaker phone, naturally), there are some strange men drilling holes in the wall to put a new power plug in.
