Vanderbilt University Workforce Strategist to Explore the Human Side of AI at Ragan’s Employee Experience Conference
Dr. Sydney M. Savion to share insights on resilience, adaptability and workforce readiness in an era of rapid technological change
Chicago, IL (June 12, 2026) — As artificial intelligence reshapes the workplace and organizations grapple with unprecedented change, Ragan Communications is bringing one of the nation’s leading workforce strategists to the stage to help leaders navigate what’s next.
Dr. Sydney M. Savion, Vice Chancellor for People, Culture and Belonging at Vanderbilt University, will headline the opening day of Ragan’s Employee Experience Conference, taking place Aug. 3-5 in Nashville, Tennessee.
In her fireside chat, “Resilience Through Disruption: The Human Skills That Matter in the AI Era,” Savion will examine why today’s AI revolution is as much a human transition as a technological one. The conversation will explore how organizations can build trust, strengthen resilience and prepare employees for a future defined by continuous change.
Appointed in 2024 as Vanderbilt University’s first Vice Chancellor for People, Culture and Belonging, Savion leads enterprise workforce strategy for one of the nation’s top research universities. A behavioral scientist and workforce strategist, she oversees talent, organizational effectiveness, employee wellbeing, workforce intelligence and the human implications of artificial intelligence.
Prior to Vanderbilt, Savion held executive leadership roles at Google, Dell Technologies, Cityblock Health, Air New Zealand and Booz Allen Hamilton. She is also a retired United States Air Force aerospace officer and author whose work focuses on how people navigate periods of profound transition.
During the session, attendees will gain insights into the workforce trends shaping the future of work, the enduring human skills that remain essential amid technological disruption and the leadership strategies needed to foster adaptability and trust.
The Employee Experience Conference brings together internal communicators, HR leaders and employee experience professionals to explore the strategies, technologies and leadership approaches transforming today’s workplace.
The conference will be held Aug. 3-5, 2026, at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
