Vice President, Reputation & Communications - Nemours Children's Health

Annie Burt is a strategic communications leader with more than two decades of experience spanning corporate communications, public relations, and enterprise reputation management. As Vice President of Reputation & Communications at Nemours Children's Health, she owns how Nemours is seen and trusted, directing reputational strategy and voice both internally and externally to ensure trust, credibility, and clarity with associates, media, communities, and key stakeholders. In her enterprise role, Ms. Burt oversees internal and external communications strategy; public relations, issues management, and crisis response; executive communications and thought leadership; events; and social media management. Her work shapes organizational trust, media presence and narrative, associate alignment, and crisis readiness across the health system.

Prior to joining Nemours, Ms. Burt spent more than 17 years at Mayo Clinic, where she led a wide range of strategic communication initiatives. She also brings experience from mission-driven organizations including Habitat for Humanity and the March of Dimes. Throughout her career, she has developed particular depth in crisis communications, leadership communications, internal communications measurement, and employee experience, and is known for building and leading high-performing teams. She holds a master's degree in strategic communications management from Concordia University–St. Paul. As a long-time Minnesotan, you can find Annie embracing the finer things in life when she’s not busy shaping how healthcare organizations are seen and trusted — tater tots as a legitimate meal, the pristine shores of Lake Superior, and the occasional May blizzard.
