Internal Communications Strategy, IT - The City of Seattle

Rosalind Brazel brings more than 30 years of communications expertise to her role as Internal Communications Strategic Advisor at the City of Seattle's IT Department. Her career journey is a masterclass in versatile storytelling. She launched in broadcast journalism as a field reporter, getting up close with the stories that mattered most to local communities. From there, she moved behind the scenes as a writer and producer at Seattle's CBS affiliate, where she sharpened her ability to craft compelling narratives under tight deadlines and deliver information clearly to diverse audiences. That foundation led her into public relations, where she learned the art of strategic messaging and stakeholder engagement. Each step of her career built the skills she now brings to one of Seattle's most dynamic and tech-forward departments. Today, Rosalind connects IT staff with the information, resources and updates they need to do their best work, making complex topics accessible and keeping the whole team informed and aligned.

Known for her puns, emojis, and one-of-a-kind creativity, Rosalind is not your average communications specialist.  She believes that great internal communications should do more than just inform. They should energize, connect and inspire. Every day, she challenges herself to boost morale, bring the fun and make sure every team member has what they need to stay engaged and in the loop.
