5 smart ways to create additional content for your company blog

Create strong blog posts from content you already own.

Have you ever considered starting a blog for your company, but have no idea whether you can maintain it regularly? If so, I get it: most bloggers have this problem. Hell, I constantly struggle with getting posts out on a regular basis and keeping the content fresh on my own blog.

But, over time, many bloggers have learned either how to repurpose existing content, or how to create new content that can be distributed via multiple social channels. Here are some ideas for taking content that your company has already created and using it on your blog. Consider using:

1. White papers. You’re likely already sharing case studies and research papers (a.k.a. “white papers) with your non-blog audience. Why not turn them into blog posts? Did you write a white paper on “5 Ways the Cattle Industry Can Modernize for the Next Decade”? Then why not turn that into a five-part series of posts on your blog? Update content a bit, add a tweak here and there, and you’ve gotten a couple weeks’ worth of blog posts!
