How to clean up that email inbox

Is your inbox bombarded with incoming?

If so, let’s hope you’re one of those highly efficient people who respond promptly to every email and still manage to get the rest of their work done. Now the rest of us will test your claim by all emailing you at once.

But if you’re having trouble keeping up, Techpedia has some suggestions for you.

The ideas, detailed in the blog, include using filters and adopting a “conversational email system” like Gmail, which allows you to create labeled and threaded emails.

“Labels can be color coded so that you can see everything at a glance and know exactly what type of email it is,” writes Tamar Weinberg.

Another thought is to reply immediately when you open an email. “Are you saving it for later?” she writes. “If it takes 10 seconds to read and reply, take 10 seconds to read and reply to it.”
