Infographic: When you should—and should not—post to social media

A lot of infographics discuss when to post to Facebook and Twitter, but not many share information for the other social networks, like Pinterest, Google+ and Tumblr. This one does.

There are a lot of infographics that share the best and worst times to post to Facebook and Twitter, but what about all the other social networks?

When should we post to Pinterest, Google+ or Tumblr?

An infographic from SurePayroll is here to help us out. While it lists the best and worst times to post to Facebook and Twitter, it also lists information for LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr and Google+.

Here’s a glimpse of what it recommends:


Best time to pin: Friday at 3 p.m.

Worst time to pin: Weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Fun fact: Fifty-five percent of Pinterest users have engaged with a brand on Pinterest. Only 48 percent of Facebook users have interacted with brands on Facebook.


Best time to post: Sunday-Tuesday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Worst time to post: Before 4 p.m.

Fun fact: Tumblr users spend about 14 minutes per visit to the site.


Best time to post: Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Worst time to post: Early mornings and evenings.

Fun fact: Google+’s fastest-growing demographic is 45-54 year olds.
