The members of the five-person ASCD communications team work together to accomplish what many larger teams still hope to do. By setting goals and working together to exceed them (for example, they earned more media clips this year than ever before), the team’s value increases with each passing moment. The team has accomplished goals such as 48 percent press attendance at the organization’s annual conference, with a 72 percent increase of the event’s Twitter hashtag. Not only are the numbers impressive, but so is the ability of the team to aptly work together to accomplish several strategies in both traditional and digital PR.
