Since Adrienne Prather-Marcos took over her responsibilities in 2012, PR coverage for the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has increased by 35 percent. She is also responsible for several important product areas, including weddings and culinary. She successfully secured coverage from Brides, Bridal Guide, The Knot, Destination I Do & Honeymoons Too, and Vogue. During this year’s Vegas Uncork’d event, Prather-Marcos organized the filming of eight culinary vignettes with the Travel Channel. During the June launch of “Vegas Season” in Chicago, she secured a morning show takeover with Vegas ambassador Wayne Newton on “WGN Morning News” and WBBM. This resulted in more than 18 minutes of TV coverage—and contributed to an Ace Award.
