As Todd Hattori points out at the IABC Café blog, if people are replacing e-mail with text messages, shouldn’t we have some rules and guidelines in place?
IABC Chairman Todd Hattori told a funny story at the IABC Café blog. He was in the Philippines to help judge the Gold Quill Awards. (The Philippines! Why is it that every IABC Chairman logs more global travel miles than Condi Rice?) However, when he arrived at the 9 a.m. judging meeting, only one of the other judges was there. So the other judge, a local resident, fired off a text message to the IABC chapter president, asking her where the heck everybody was. He received this response: “Wl txt Art n stf to hv thm cl vol. Wl let u no who wl b thr.”
