For example:

  • Almost 80 percent (79 percent) of Twitter users are more likely to recommend brands they follow.
  • Sixty-seven percent of Twitter users are more likely to buy from brands they follow.
  • More than 70 percent (73 percent) of followers want updates on future products.
  • About 60 percent (61 percent) of followers want to offer ideas and feedback to brands.

So, how can you get in on these perks? Implement these tactics:

Work the weekends. Saturday and Sunday are the days of the week with the highest engagement rates.

Share images. Engagement is 200 percent higher for tweets with image links.

Ask questions. People are 21 percent more likely to respond to questions than other types of tweets.

Use links. More than 90 percent (92 percent) of engagement with brand tweets come from link clicks.

Keep it short and sweet. Engagement is 17 percent higher for tweets with fewer than 100 characters.
