Infographic: 68 percent of CEOs have no social media presence

Of the CEOs on social media, most use LinkedIn. However, more CEOs joined Facebook in 2014 than in 2013, and a few even hopped on Instagram.

Almost 70 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs have no social media presence, an infographic from and Domo reports.

The infographic illustrates the results the 2014 Social CEO Report, a survey of how top CEOs use social media.

And frankly, most of them don’t.

Sixty-eight percent of CEOs have no presence on social media, and of the CEOs who are on social media, more than two-thirds are only on one platform. Of the CEOs who are on only one platform, 73 percent chose LinkedIn.

A few other interesting insights:

  • Eight percent of CEOs are on Facebook, which is up from 7 percent from 2013.
  • The CEOs on Twitter actively use the social network; 69 percent of them have tweeted within the last 100 days.
  • Less than 15 percent of CEOs find Google+ useful. In fact, more CEOs are on Instagram than Google+ (2.6 percent of CEOs have Instagram accounts).
