Infographic: Battle of the brands, grammar edition

The brands that come out on top in this battle are those that make the fewest writing mistakes in their social media updates. Do your favorites reign supreme?

Few things divide people like the Pepsi versus Coke debate. (Unless you bring up the Oxford comma, but let’s not go there).

Most of us have a favorite, and we can’t be swayed.

To add a grammatical touch to the Pepsi versus Coke battle, as well as other brand rivalries, an infographic from Grammarly compares the competitors not by products, but grammatical accuracy.

Grammarly studied the LinkedIn posts of Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Facebook, Google, Ford and GM for spelling, grammar and punctuation errors. The brands with the fewest grammatical errors win.

Coca-Cola vs. Pepsi

Coca-Cola wins! Pepsi makes 3.6 writing mistakes per 100 words, but Coke only makes 0.9.

Facebook vs. Google

Google claims the prize here. Google only makes 1.1 writing mistakes per 100 words, but Facebook makes 4.3.

Ford vs. GM

This is a close race, but Ford comes out on top. GM makes a measly 1.3 mistakes per 100 words, but Ford only makes 0.5.
