How do you get employees to pay attention to a dull topic like ethics?

Try producing a video training series modeled on “The Office.”

BearingPoint compliance officer Russ Berland did just that, replacing a staid slide show with a mock-umentary format that engaged employees—quickly going viral—and delivered the message on workplace ethics.

“We wanted something that would really change the way that people looked at ethics and compliance standards,” Berland says. “I would have rather people not taken any training than take the training they had. Employees came away convinced that BearingPoint was not committed to ethics.”
