Monster.com brings professional network app to Facebook

Facing declining sales and a slipping stock price, job search website Monster launched BeKnown, a new professional networking app on Facebook. The app gives users the option of importing information from their Monster accounts, and uses the website’s job recommendation tools.

Matthew Mund, global vice president of product for Monster, told Mashable that Facebook was the “path of least resistance” for the app, since 700 million people already use Facebook.
