Cindy Hoots is an internal communications manager at Amazon, overseeing the editorial content and storytelling strategy for the company’s internal corporate communications channels globally. In 2020, she will launch a new content management system to help empower Amazon’s more than half a million employees to be better brand advocates on social media. With her 20 years of experience in external and internal communications, she found her passion in employee engagement, elevating the employee voice along with employee advocacy and activism. Before joining Amazon, Hoots managed employee engagement for Unilever North America and KPMG. She also led the external activist engagement strategy for Starbucks Coffee Company.
