S.J. is homepage producer for BBC.com. She is responsible for curating the “front page” of the global news site, as well as optimizing stories and multimedia packages to increase in-site click-through rates. When she has some downtime, S.J. also contributes to the BBC as a writer. Prior to joining the BBC team, S.J. worked primarily in local and regional news. As the very first digital engagement editor for The Buffalo News, S.J. strengthened her dexterity in breaking news digitally and was a member of the 2015 Pulitzer Prize finalist team for breaking news reporting. When she’s not eyeball-deep in journalism, S.J. is a champion-level Irish dancer and doughnut history nut (follow @doughnuthistory on Instagram if you’re interested!).
