The Blog DoggerWriter: Social media produces ‘rubbish’

Bloggers attacked by traditional media, plus video sweeps the blogosphere, intranets suffer death pains, Gen Y gets spanked and monkeys, monkeys everywhere

Financial Times writer Michael Skapinker seems to think bloggers and their social media brethren produce nothing but “inconsequential rubbish.” The Internet is an amazing tool, he insists; however, the din of voices out there is a scourge. Skapinker recalls the famous suggestion that given keyboards and endless time, monkeys would eventually produce the works of Shakespeare. Skapinker, agreeing with a colleague, writes: “The Internet shows it is not true.”
