Late last fall, Ragan put out a call for the best internal communications from 2013.

Hundreds of entries flooded in from health care, banking, publishing, manufacturing, consumer goods and other industries. Companies around the world shared their newsletters, magazines, annual reports, intranets and more.

Our judges read, reviewed and scored their entries and made some very tough decisions. But now we have them: The finalists for the 2013 Employee Communications Awards.

We could not be prouder to feature these top-notch communicators on our website. This year’s entries showed our readers trying new strategies and pushing the boundaries of traditional internal communications.

Gone are safe, bland feature stories, boring flyers, interminable, unintelligible corporate memos and huge binders of HR information for new hires. Our finalists showed irreverence, off-beat humor, risk-taking and creativity in the execution of everything they did.

The Ragan staff would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s awards.

Stay tuned to read about the winners in a Special Edition of Ragan.com, published in the coming weeks.
