Facebook has 901 million members, but only 17 percent of them live in the United States.
Because of this, brands are attempting to grow their fan bases globally, an infographic from SocialBakers says.
The top three countries in which global brands engage with their audiences are the U.S., Brazil and India. In the U.S., the most engaged brands are Starbucks, McDonald’s, Xbox, Walmart and Disneyland. Trident and L’Oreal Paris are the most engaged brands in Brazil, and Vodaphone and Pepsi take the top spots in India.
Among the fastest-moving brands are Halls, Trident, L’Oreal Paris, Axe and Oreo. They are considered “fast moving” because they have seen the most significant increases in fans during the past year.
But which brands do the best job of engaging globally?
- Coca-Cola (42 million fans)
- Starbucks (30 million fans)
- Converse (30 million fans)
- Red Bull (28 million fans)
- Oreo (26 million fans)
