Watch out: there’s a new parody website on the block

In the ever-changing world of new media, there’s a new satirical site to keep an eye on.

The Final Edition, by British satirist Tony Hendra, pokes fun at the dwindling queen of the mainstream, The New York Times, Salon.com notes. The site is being touted as a rival to The Onion.

The site’s first home page looks suspiciously like the Gray Lady’s, with a blaring headline, “THE NEW YORK TIMES, WORLD’S NEWSPAPER OF RECORD, CLOSES ITS DOORS FOREVER,” Salon notes. Unfortunately, a sidebar adds that the markets refuse to slump on news of The Times‘ demise.
