It’s time to stop gossiping at the office and wearing flip-flops to work in 2009, says this communicator. What will you do differently?

There is something magical about January. We get to toss out the sins of last year, forgive, and give ourselves permission to start fresh. We’ve made it to a new year. We’re smarter and stronger, and still fighting the good fight. It’s a great time to take a truly naked look at the things we did well, and resolve to stop making the same mistakes.

We spent so much time at work last year—communicating constantly with our co-workers and clients. Last year, some of our business communication was brilliant. Some of it could use a serious tune-up in 2009. And because we’ll probably spend at least as much time in the office this year, it’s time for some business communication resolutions:
