Most communications and HR professionals understand that LinkedIn can be a powerful tool to foster more diversity, inclusion and belonging at work. But while most undestand that overcoming hidden biases means widening your scope of reach and promotion, many still don’t know how to get started. That’s where creating a LinkedIn Showcase Page comes in.

LinkedIn says its Showcase Pages “are extensions of your LinkedIn Page, designed to spotlight individual brands, business units and initiatives.” They show up in a sidebar on your company page, listed as “affiliate pages,” and are an often underutilized tool for reaching potential candidates who wouldn’t otherwise find your organization.

Showcase Pages can amplify your commitment to diverse hiring and drive diverse candidates to your talent pool, because followers can follow your showcase page even if they don’t follow your company page. LinkedIn has said that pages posting weekly have a 2x lift in engagement through their content. It recommends that you keep caption copy to 150 words or less.
