Stick by the principles of inclusive comms
When committing to inclusionary messaging, there are a few things to keep in mind when you’re putting together your strategy.
First, you need to realize that you’re not communicating with some faceless entity known as your organization — there are real people with diverse backgrounds and different feelings and opinions that make up that organization! Be cognizant of this when you’re choosing your words, and work to avoid terms of exclusion that might make some people feel marginalized.
