Ragan Research: How organizations are supporting wellness at work

Ragan’s 2023 Communications Benchmark Report captures the myriad of ways organizations are advancing employee wellbeing beyond healthcare.

There was a time when many organizations considered wellness initiatives to be primarily about physical health. But when the world changed, and the way we work changed, too, HR professionals faced a fresh call to understand that wellbeing and benefits went far beyond the physical. With working from home now commonplace, the arms-length approach many businesses once took to engage with employee family issues, financial concerns, burnout and mental health will no longer cut it.

In Ragan’s 2023 Benchmark Report, nearly 75% of all communications leaders surveyed said their organization provided increased employee wellbeing support in 2022. That number was even higher among members of Ragan’s Communications Leadership Council, which illustrates the extent to which our council members function as strategic advisors across business functions.
