As a seasoned communications and public affairs professional with more than 15 years of experience, Sarah has worked across diverse clients and industries. Early in her career she honed her skills at public relations agencies, developing a keen interest in crisis communications at the intersection of policy, technology, and impact. At Microsoft, Sarah is a part of the Issues Management team where she manages reactive internal and external communications across the company, aiming to mitigate the impact of negative news (i.e. make bad news less bad). She brings a calm perspective in the face of challenging situations, emphasizing the importance of effective communication and responsible practices. Originally from the East Coast, Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree from Brandeis University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington. Sarah enjoys spending her free time running in the mountains. Her favorite motto is, “if you rest, you rust.”
