PoliteMail has the corporate comms pro covered with its latest State of Corporate Communications Report. The research shows how valuable comms resources are being used (executive comms are No.1) and what priorities communicators have set for the coming year.

What’s the top communications channel for most pros? Email, but other offerings like virtual/video meetings have stormed to the top of the list. And is everyone out there except for your organization creating an internal podcast?

According to the data, no. Podcasts are still a relatively untapped resource.

How do these various channels get used in relation to specific goals? If your focus is on change communications, you’re more likely to focus on video (52%) and comms pros looking to reach a broad, targeted audience are sticking with email (54%). To build community and solicit internal feedback, the internal social media platform has become a go-to resource (45%).
